Christmas Tree Napkins DIY

Hi Ladies! We thoroughly enjoyed Sew Fresh this week! There were so many fabulous ideas for handmade Christmas gifts! Susanna and Caroline demo-ed Christmas tree napkins & an easy coffee cozy and we're here today to share with you a tutorial on how to make the Christmas tree napkins! ((come back later this week for the coffee cozy!))

What you need (makes 2 napkins):
2 Fat Quarters of pretty coordinating Christmas fabrics
The biggest mixing bowl you have
Scissors
Coordinating thread
Iron & board

Stack your fabrics and place the mixing bowl upside down on top of them.

Cut around the bowl (through both fabrics) about an inch away from the bowl.

Fold your circles in half and cut down the fold.

Now you should have 4 semi-circles.

Pin two coordinating semi-circles right sides together and sew almost all the way around the edge. Leave 1-2" for turning.

Flip your semi-circles right sides out and top-stitch the opening you left for turning.
Fold & press like a Christmas tree. (Follow the folds below).

  3. So glad I found your site, everyone else I ran into did 18 inches, and those were huge napkins. I am going to whip out a bunch for my Christmas theme. Thank you for sharing.
